To contribute to the sustainable implementation of the Rabies Prevention and Control Program in the province, the Bohol Rabies Prevention and Eradication Council and the Department of Education intensified rabies education among school children. This Rabies Prevention Program Manual on Grade School Curriculum Integration and Instruction was developed for primary school teachers in the province. Contents of the manual promoted responsible pet ownership, and rabies awareness topics were incorporated into the school curriculum. See Lapiz et al.
