Immunostaining of Drosophila larval body wall skeletal muscles. Each muscle is composed by a single myofiber of stereotypical size. The 40-fold increase in size of these muscles during 4-5 days of larval development provides a convenient setting for systematically assessing the role of transcription factors in myofiber growth.
