The parameters governing the mRNA dynamics were taken from those obtained from cell line E-YFP-M1-7x grown under conditions of no doxycycline: rate of gene activation (λ/δ) = 2.44, inactivation (γ/δ) = 2.49, and transcription (μ/δ) = 910.

In the second sentence of the section "Stochastic simulations" of the Materials and Methods, the rate of gene activation is incorrect. It should read: "... rate of gene activation (lambda/delta) = 0.244, inactivation..."
